“After a year-long sabbatical that took me from the bustling streets of Los Angeles to the ancient cities of Seoul and Berlin, I’ve returned to my New York studio with a renewed sense of purpose and a fresh perspective. During my travels, I delved into various artistic disciplines, including micro-mosaics, children's book illustration, leathercraft, and silversmithing. These experiences, coupled with countless museum visits, reignited my passion for painting.

Inspired by the iconic characters of Star Wars and the enigmatic spirit of Frida Kahlo, "El Imperio Strokes Back’ is a fusion of these two worlds. This exhibition showcases a collection of 28 paintings that explore the intersection of pop culture and personal identity. By blending bold colors, intricate details, and surreal imagery, I aim to challenge traditional notions of beauty and heroism.
